Philippine Football Federation Hosts "A" License Coaching Course

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF), in cooperation with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), is hosting the 3rd AFC “A” License Coaching Certificate Course (Part 1) at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila from June 14-28, 2017.

The AFC Instructors to conduct the course are established Filipino coaches Jose Ariston Caslib & Marlon Maro.

24 participants from different parts of the Philippines, along with an additional four foreign coaches from Australia, Belgium, South Korea and Hong Kong will be taking the course.

The notable Filipino coaches in the group are Norman Fegidero (Bacolod), a former national team player and coach; Glen Ramos (Cebu), a Don Bosco Cebu Palaro mainstay and also a former U-16 national team coach; Anto Gonzales, the UP Diliman coach and former national player; and Christopher Pedimonte of San Beda College.

Also joining are Ernie Nierras, coach of Stallions-Laguna of the Philippine Football League; Percy Guarin, a former national player and member of the PFF Board of Governors; former national team coach Noel Casilao; Joyce Landagan, the U-14 Girls coach who won silver in the recent AFC U14 Regional Festival of Football; and Aris Bocalan/

The remaining participants in the coaching course are Marigen Ariel, Rachelle delos Reyes, Mike Agbayani, Ramon Besa, Aris Bocalan, Ramon Carreon, Randolfo Clarino, Oliver Colina, Roxy Dorlas, Eliezer Fabroada, Wilhelm Laranas, Jeffrey Liman, Josephine Loren, Noel Mariscal, Christian Salanguit, Elying Toledo, Chiu Tat Tsang, John Tscheppera, Joengil Kim and Kenny Batelus.

This is the first AFC “A” Course to be held in the Philippines following the New AFC Coaching Convention. The course will have 2 parts, each part consisting of 14 days.

In between courses, the participants are required to produce a log book containing their football work, 100 hours minimum, to document their attachment to a PFL club, a university team or regional team playing in high level football.
