Regions of the Philippines
There are a total of 17 administrative regions in the Republic of the Philippines. Excepting the case of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao or what is known as the ARMM, the regions do not have a local government structure. Many government offices, however, have regional rather than provincial offices, depending on the need.
